1. Determine which cables you need

There are three basic video-out connections found on a Laptop. DVI offers the best quality. S-video is a good choice and is widely used. The last connection is VGA.

For some laptops you can create a shortcut feature that allows you to switch the video output from your monitor to your TV in seconds. Here is how:

  • 1. Make sure that your cables are properly plugged in to your laptop and TV and that your laptop is plugged in or fully charged.
  • 2. Hold down the "Fn" key and then hit another function button depending on your computer manufacturer (see chart below).
  • 3. While you are holding the "Fn" key down, keep hitting the other F# button and you will toggle through the various outputs until you get to the "TV Only" option (make sure this is selected). Fn shortcuts

3. Why is the video quality better on some videos than others?

The amount of movement in a video is the best answer to this question. Videos are streamed at a certain bitrate, the bitrate is the indicator of how much information is being transmitted per second; the higher the bitrate, the higher the quality. Videos with a lot of movement require a lot of information to display properly, but the amount of information that can be sent/received per second is controlled by the bitrate. This is why videos with high amounts of movement may be of lesser quality. Our premium membership and videos downloaded from beYOU are the highest quality we offer.

At beYOU we are always looking for the best technologies to provide you with the highest quality possible. We are working on some exciting plans to make sure you have the best experience!

5. How do I put content on my iPod or Apple TV?

Your videos will always be kept in your My Profile, regardless of whether or not you have an active monthly membership. Under each video in your library, you will see links to the different devices on which you can download your videos.

To view your videos on your iPod or Apple TV, click the iTunes (iPod & Apple TV) link. The video will begin downloading immediately to your computer.

Depending on the length of the video and your internet connection speed, this can take a while. So go grab a cup of tea while you wait. Or better yet, check out other videos (we know, shameless, right?)

When your video has completed downloading, it will automatically be placed in your iTunes Movie Library for you to load to your iPod or Apple TV.
